Great Barrier Reef Yacht Charter
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the pride of Australia, its expanse of lively coral gardens, rich biodiversity, and idyllic islands make it an awe-inspiring yachting destination.
The World’s Largest Reef System
Stretching over 2,300 kilometres and home to over 9,000 marine species, the Great Barrier Reef is an astounding natural masterpiece. Most yachting journeys to the Great Barrier Reef start at Cairns or Port Douglas. From here, visit iconic islands, such as Fitzroy Island, Green Island, Snapper Island, the Ribbon Reefs, and Cod Hole, famous for its large potato codes. Each island offers distinctive scuba diving experiences. See turtles, rays, and colourful schools of fish at Low Isles, a remote group of islands with calm lagoons ideal for paddleboarding or snorkelling. Don’t miss Lizard Island, also called "the Jewel of the Reef," known for its pristine lagoons, secluded beaches, and the opportunity to hike to Cook’s Look for panoramic views of the reef. Anchoring at Watson’s Bay gives the chance to snorkel and see giant clams. The Ribbon Reefs are renowned for their chain of spectacular coral formations. For an extended adventure, sailing further south to the Whitsundays is not an uncommon route. Here, enjoy iconic tropical beaches, luxury resorts, and vibrant nightlife.
With its unmatched beauty, rich marine life, and unforgettable experiences, the reef is truly spellbinding. Want to explore the world’s most incredible marine bounty? See our Luxury Yacht Charters Available.
